When you learn to drive with AK School of Motoring, we like to think we do things differently to other driving schools. Our extensive experience allows us to tailor your lessons to your specific requirements.

  You will never be pressurised into making block bookings.

  You set the pace - have as many or as few lessons as you like.

  We will teach you to drive – not simply how to pass the drivng test.

  We will only suggest that you book your test when you are good and ready.

Prices

  • Standard driving lessons are charged at £37 per hour.
  • Use of our car during your practical driving test (recommended) is charged at £37 per test.
  • PassPlus lessons (and informal post-test tuition) are charged at £37 per hour.

Please note that we do not believe in offering intensive courses.

Our Pupil Promise

  1. All lessons will last for a full hour. You will never lose time being driven to or from your lesson.
  2. You will never be required to share your lesson with another pupil, have another pupil in the car observing your driving, or be expected to watch another pupil driving as part of your lesson.
  3. Lessons will proceed at your own pace - after all, you are in the driving seat!
  4. You will always be taught by the same instructor, to ensure that you learn at a constant pace!

Lesson length

The vast majority of our lessons are one hour long, but we are happy to run longer lessons if you wish.

Please remember, however, that learnng to drive can be a tiring and stressful process, and maintaining concentration for long periods of time can be difficult.

It is our experience that for most people, two 1 hour lessons are much more productive than a single 2 hour one.
